The Rockets were a Detroit, Michigan rock band formed in 1972 by former Mitch Ryder & The Detroit Wheels members Johnny "Bee" Bandajek and Jim McCarty. Vocals and drums were handled by Bandajek, McCarty was on lead guitar, John Fraga was on bass and Marc Marcano was on keyboards. Johnny Bee was the driving force and primary songwriter for the Rockets.

In the early days, The Rockets paid their dues playing gigs at venues such as, The Rainbow Room and The Peoples Ballroom in Detroit, and The Rock 'N Roll Farm in Wayne Michigan.

The band took on a new sound in 1976 when David Gilbert was brought in to take over vocals from Johnny Bee and Donnie Backus took over on keyboards. Gilbert had fronted several bands and was the lead singer for Ted Nugent and The Amboy Dukes in 1971, touring with them for a year and a half before forming Shadow which led to a record deal with RSO.

The Rockets made five studio albums produced several minor hits including a rocking rendition of Fleetwood Mac's "Oh Well".

In the last few years, the band toured extensively headlining festivals in Munich and Hamburg (Germany), Mexico and Amsterdam, to rocking high profile showcases at legendary venues: The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, SXSW, The Viper Room (Los Angeles) and CBGB’s (NYC).

Southeast Michigan gives rise to some amazing talent in the music industry, and Alan Turner is definitely no exception. A non-stop mix of traditional country with a rockin' edge is what you get. Nominated for six 2011 Detroit Music Awards this act is a must see!  Alan has turned up the heat for several years at the WYCD Downtown Hoedown and is sure to make a country fan out of you!

MRE was just nominated for a 2011 Detroit Music Award for Best Hard Rock/Metal Band, in Detroit! And we have appeared as direct support for Mushroomhead and Prong!

It was, as one national music critic wrote, “what the band would become famous for: an endless climb of heightening drama staked out by the twin-guitar exorcisms of Duane and Dickey Betts and the cool, measured, almost jazz-like response of the rhythm section.”

The members consist of *WC* Small on Lead Vocals, Pancho on Bass/Vocals, Guido on Guitar, Kevin Jorrey on Drums, and Brian Bengela on Guitar. Broken Man was formed in early 2007, and after a few changes, they have had their core lineup since 2008. They have shared the stage with artists such as Powerman 5000, Cold, Seven Mary Three, and Stereoside, to name a few. Previous releases include; a self titled demo EP in 2007 and a demo LP entitled "Weight of the World" in 2008. They have just currently released their first professionally produced studio album called "Welcome Home."

Waylon, Merle, Cash, Aldean, Montgomery Gentry and Brooks and Dunn are the roots of their sound. JoCaine has been filling A-rooms all over metro Detroit, upstaging national acts and have managed to land his redneck, white trash, blue collar rock on more than one Hollywood motion picture soundtrack (Lonestar State of Mind, Laurel Canyon, The Last Run) and a popular TV series (CSI: Crime Scene Investigation).

JoCaine's original intentions were not to pursue a music career. As a 6' 4", 245 lb. All-American tight end in college, Joe Binki had plans to go pro. An absolute hurricane with a football in his hands, his teammates christened him "JoCaine".

Karen then landed jobs touring as a backup singer for Bob Seger and Kid Rock, appearing in TV commercials for local radio station WRIF, and eventually sang the "Star Spangled Banner" before a high profile tennis tournament. After some limited engagements singing the national anthem for Detroit Pistons basketball games and Red Wings hockey games, the Red Wings approached her to perform the song before all home games.

Lookin' Back is a forward-looking project comprised of six noteworthy Detroit-area musicians who have united to help keep Bob Seger's music alive and performed on metro-Detroit stages for the legions who love Seger's catalog of music spanning over four decades.

“Music industry insiders, concert promoters and venue owners are beginning to see what rock audiences have known all along”, explained frontman Lordd Virgil. “Great songs with strong melodies, heavy guitars, great musicianship and an amazing live spectacle are the ultimate key to success. That, along with a bucket of sweat each night, is exactly what you’ll get from this band. “

Their first two albums were “Carpe Diem” and “Anno Domini”, produced by multi-platinum, award-winning producer John Hughes II (George Clinton, Parliament Funkadelic, David Sanborn, Patti Rothberg). Several of the songs have become fan favorites and underground hits. The videos for both of their singles from “Anno Domini”, “Tip of My Tongue” and “Inside”, have each garnered an NME Shockwave Video Award. “Tip of My Tongue” also garnered airplay throughout Europe and became a top-ten hit in Milan, Italy.

Now, the band is scheduling performances between studio sessions where they are working steadily on their third full-length release.

In the last year, they have dedicated their time and passion into songwriting. Their debut album "Drunk In Love" will be released in 2009.

Ryche and Jamie had replaced members and spent years in bands who reached some success in their heyday. Initially it all started out with excitement, things were new and being on the road had its advantages. The fans, the traveling, the live performances were everything that was good. Everything else, was everything else. While in Europe on tour together, both musicians began to build a solid friendship and discuss plans for a new project and what they wanted to do with their music instead of finishing out someone else’s pipe dreams. Being in control of their own music careers and letting the world hear what they had to offer was where it was at for them.

Simply put, the best unsigned band in America Today. This band has absolutely everything it takes to be a world force! They will be touring the world with the likes of Nickelback by next summer. The singer Fuller is amazing, one of the best voices to come out of rock and roll in years. The musicianship is top shelf and guess what, these boy’s bring it even better live. The guitar players are absolutely balls out great! Stripped down real tone and gripping hooks from Rob Banks and the mechanic Guido will be inspiring young upstart’s for years to come. Mark my words, these guys from the Motorcity are it!

Formed out of friendship, RELIC brings hard rock, alternative, and metal to a new level. Dating back to when the rock-n-roll image was clean cut and songwriting was straightforward, to the complexity of today’s drastically changing world. RELIC rises as one of the region's top performing bands with the use of strong melodic riffs, mixed with powerful, heart-felt lyrics from start to finish. What started in Youngstown, Ohio, has grown to catch the interests of everyone. The group knew they had a lot of work ahead of them, competing against a flood of talent in the area. RELIC is quickly gaining press and local popularity from their debut EP , "Nothing Sacred".

STRIKKEN has developed our own style with influences by several great bands, shaken not stirred. Hard metal with a new rock edge - with jalapenos! We strive to be as creative as we can and always play our asses off for our hard core fans.

Now, nearly 20 years later and renamed The Sellouts to capture their newfound willingness to compromise on song selection, the boys are back. Guitarist Paul Cadarian, Bassist Terry Thompson, Drummer Ron "Big Nose" McManus and Singer Andre Courtemanche are looking to pick up where they left off by bringing party and dance rock to fans hungry for a band that can deliver an all-around helluva good time.

From the funky glam rock scene of the 1970s to Kid Rock’s latest, The Sellouts deliver a unique mix of live show dazzle and strong musicianship that will get today’s jaded audiences out of their seats and back on the dance floor.

Voodoo Honey is best known for putting on a true "Rock Show" Their dynamic stage presence is only rivaled by the band's musical talent. Lead vocals are shared by Boomer and Miles who each bring their own unique high energy style that gets the crowd on their feet and singing along. Guitar duties are shared by 3 axe handlers: John Nitz on lead guitar brings a ripping approach that commands attention and captivates audiences. Scott Davidson shares lead duties and has a soulful "silky smooth" approach that takes the music to the next level. Rounding off the guitar trio is Boomer who solidifies the bands air tight sound. On bass guitar is the unique bass thumping style of Troy Miles who incorporates his rock/funk bass influenced style to give Voodoo Honey's music its recognizable trademark "foot stomping" sound. Finally, back on drums driving the bus is Kamm Skeels, who incorporates flash into his straight up "rock your face off" drumming style.
