The Committee and I, would like to take this time to personally thank all the volunteers and friends we made over the years. Detroit Bike Week could not be successful without the commitment and dedication of our volunteers. Thank you all in advance for a successful event.
Do you want to meet people and have fun? Then volunteer at Detroit Bike Week for us. This is The Midwest’s Premier Motorcycle Festival.
All volunteers receive FREE admission from Friday until Sunday. Volunteers will receive a free t-shirt, pin and a volunteer appreciation picnic scheduled in August or September 2012 (more to follow).
Volunteers are needed at the Detroit Bike Week for a variety of events, and we have plenty this year. Please indicate the days or events you wish to volunteer, also, please take this time to fill out the question or comments section of the Volunteer Form. Please sign up by July 19, 2012 to guarantee your volunteer T-shirt and pin.
Just complete the form and I will contact you with more information. Don't forget to include your telephone number and email address on the form.
There will be a training class TBA. If you can attend, this class is a good source of information and exchange of questions and ideas. Again, thanks for volunteering!
As you can imagine or have experienced, it takes many people to put on an event the size of Detroit Bike Week®. Come help as a volunteer, and take part in the non-stop music, competitions, and fun! There are shifts available the week before the Event, Monday through Thursday and shifts available during the Event, Thursday thru Sunday. Some of the volunteer positions for Detroit Bike Week®:
• Registration bag stuffers
• Staff for the Poker Run
• Registration staff
• Custom Bike Show
• World’s Strongest Biker competition
• And more…. .
Approximately 90% of the working individuals you come across at Detroit Bike Week are VOLUNTEERS. And every one of them is here on behalf of a non-profit charity to which Detroit Bike Week donates a portion of the proceeds from the rally. Some of these charities have seen funding from the government or from private donations drastically reduced and are finding their organizations competing for dwindling resources. Some of the monies raised through the various fees charged to participate at Detroit Bike Week are earmarked to assist these charities continue their operations. On behalf of the many volunteer organizations, we would like to thank you for helping the hundreds of families who have come to rely on them for basic social services.
